Unit Export has successfully supplied three waste compactors to the Water & Sanitation Corporation (WASAC) in Rwanda financed by the African Development Fund.
Unit Export sourced the IVECO Eurocargo chassis for the compactor trucks from Italy and subsequently shipped to the superstructure builder in Turkey. Upon completion of the superstructure the final trucks were inspected at the factory by an independent agency to ensure compliance with the customer’s requirements.
The vehicles were then shipped on a RORO vessel to Dar es Salaam where they continued their journey over land to Kigali. The compactors will be used in the towns of Nyagatare, Nyanza and Kayonza for municipal waste collection.
